  • Revolution of 1911
  • Watch out! This is the land of the north
  • This is the south and we will win!
  • May Fourth Movement, 1919
  • Nationalist versus Communist, 1927
  • Sun Yat Sen is trying to unify China under a Republic. When Yuan Shikai is president he tries to become an emperor. When he dies, the country is divided. Th North is the warlord and the south by Sun Yat Sen.
  • Long March, 1934
  • We have won!!!
  • There is a student led revolt caused from the idea of re- unifying China using Nationalism and Communism.
  • Japanese Invasion, 1937
  • Stop!! Stop!! We must work together to defeat Japan!
  • Nationalists capture Beijing and unify China. Change Kai Shek begins a purge, killing thousands of communists. Mao Sedong becomes the leader of the Communists.
  • The End
  • The Nationalists defeat the Communists while in battle. Mao leads his followers away from nationalist power to rebuild communism safely.
  • Japan invades China bringing their Civil War to a halt. Both sides joined together to resist Japan. This weakened the Nationalists but grew the Communists.
