  • Why do you do this? This is not right!
  • I have an idea I call, "Luther's Ninety-Five Theses!"
  • During the 14th and 15th centuries, a number of reformers spoke out against the Church practices. They questioned the pope's rights and criticized Church officials for neglecting Christian values.
  • This is the beliefs that are correct!
  • In 1492, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabela drive the last Muslim rulers out of Spain.
  • HA! I have more followers than you do!
  • Early Church reformers wanted to improve the Church. Later reformers, saw the Church as a corruption of the original Christian faith. One in particular who made a huge impact was, Martin Luther. 
  • I was thinking about this idea. Tell me what you think.
  • Martin Luther's ideas spread quickly. Priests who approved Luther's idea would preach his message in their churches.
  • Both the Catholic and Protestant churches used missionaries to win converts, but the Catholic efforts were more successful.
  • In 1545, Catholic Church leaders meet at the Council of Trent to define church doctrine.
