Storyboard Text

  • Here you can see a sight common in every toy store; a girl asking for a piece of toy jewellery.
  • Free Gift Every $50
  • I want this one, Mom!
  • You can have whichever one you want sweetie!
  • Unfortunately, neither the mother nor the daughter knew that this piece of jewellery could risk her life due to one common habit for many children; sucking on jewellery.
  • What happened Julie?!
  • A lot of parents don't realize that it is important to go to the doctor when your child is young, to test things such as the amount of lead in the blood.
  • As well, many companies don't see the downside to using cheaper materials such as lead; they would rather have more money from the start. What they don't realize is that with the aid of social media, they are constantly watched and reviewed; if people have serious issues with their products, they will lose money.
  • Unfortunately, that cute necklace wasn't the only dangerous thing in this store! That horse over there has illegal lead paint on it, which is dangerous to small children who put things in their mouths!
  • Free Gift Every $50
  • Many retailers, such as Ardene's a few years back, believe that a tag saying "_ age and up" is good enough to warn parents! This is not the case, because babies will chew on almost anything when teething, and many young people like Julie like to suck on objects when they are young; while it is the parents' responsibility to check labels and know their child's habits, it isn't right for companies to go against the law.
