  • Hey man, have you heard of turning equations into slope intercept form?
  • No man, please tell me about that.
  • Well, you first need to move the x term by doing the opposite but keep in mind you can't combine the x term with the number on the other side
  • So if the equation was -2x + 3y = 9 you would add 2x on both sides of the equal sign?
  • Exactly, but remember you can't combine the 2x  and 9.
  • If it is required, divide all of the terms by the number in front of the "y". Or in our case, the 3.
  • I think I understand it now. Thanks man!
