Storyboard Text

  • To all the people of Thebes, if anyone knows anything about the murder of King Laios and doesn't fess up, they will be exiled from this town. I will try to solve this murder just as if I was his son.
  • All I know about the murder is that he was said to be killed by highwaymen. Can't we just go to the oracle to ask where to find the murderer?
  • That is a good idea, but we can not make the gods tell us more than they want to.
  • I know, I asked for him to come twice already, where is he?
  • I think you should ask Teiresias, he is a clairvoyant to the lord Apollo.
  • Why won't you tell me what you know??
  • You are not helping the people of Thebes at all! I demand you to tell me!!
  • You are the murderer you are looking for! You are blind to the truth, you can't even tell me who your real parents are!
  • It's best that you don't know, trust me
  • You're talking nonsense!! Boy, take him away!
  • I'm telling you, you are the murderer. You are both the brother and father to your children. Go think all that over.
  • So the search is on for the murderer. Our first lead points to Oedipus. Although the gods says that Oedipus is the murderer, it can't be, it doesn't make sense.
