  • Conflict

  • Exposition: In the beginning a king and queen had a baby, which was great except for the fact that the king was told a prophecy that the baby would overthrow and kill the king.  The king wasn't going to let that happen so he gave his child to a slave in which he left by the sea side.
  • Climax
  • Conflict: The conflict of the story is Man v.s. Fate.  Throughout the story there are prophecies, in which the kings think they can get past.  Although some how it always seems catch up with them. The father of ends up getting killed by him Oedipus and the prophecies become true no matter how many different roads he took throughout the story.
  • Falling action
  • Rising Action: Soon after the baby was abbonned a shepard found him. Not knowing what to do, he took the baby to the king and queen of his home.  Luckily they we pleased to get a baby, because they couldn't have one themselves. So Oedipus grew up and had a great childhood. One day him and his friend were drinking and his friend told him that he was adopted. Oedipus was so upset he went to an orcale and asked if it was true.
  • Resolution
  • Climax: The orcal answer with the same prophecy he gave Oedipus' father. He thought nothing of it until later on when he tried to find out who killed the king.  He searched and then found that there was an alibi. The albi seemed familiar and then bam it hit him.  It was Oedipus himself that killed his father. He was so upset at the queen for not telling her an then found out she hung herself. So he gushed his eyes out.
  • Falling action: He was so upset with what he had done, he had no choice to leave with his daughter and banish himself.  They walked aimlessly for days and soon the daughter died from murder.
  • Resolution: Oedipus roams the earth with no eyes and walks aimlessly.
