Is very sympathetic and expresses more feelings than that of most of the female characters Likes/Loves: Likes being himself instead of who his father wants him to be Hates/Fears: Starts to hate his father after the death of his adopted brother "And he found that Okonkwo did not wish to speak about Nwoye" (Achebe 16.3-6).
Ekwefi Okonkwo's second wife Aspects of personality: Very outspoken and strong headed woman. Openly speaks her mind no matter the possible outcome. Very protective over her newborn children. Likes/Loves: Okonkwo, arguing with Okonkwo, Enzima Hates/Fears: Losing her only daughter, Enzima "But Ekwefi did not hear these consolations. She stood for a while, and them, all ofa sudden, made uo her mind. SHe hurried through Okonkwo's hut and went outside. 'Where are you going?' he asked. 'I am following Chielo,' she replied and disappeared into the darkness" (Achebe 11.50).
Unoka Okonkwo's father Aspects of personality: Often described as a lazy drunk respected by few. Mooched off of others for money. Never gained a respectable title in the tribe his whole life. Likes/Loves: Drinking, living off of other people and their money Hates/Fears: War, blood, repaying debts to others "Unoka, the grown-up, was a failure. He was poor and his wife and children had barey enough to eat. People laughed at him because he was a loafer, and they swore never to lend him any more money because he never paid back. But Unoka was such a man that he always succeeded in borrowing more, and piling up his debts" (Achebe 2) .
