Storyboard Text

  • Physical Appearance: 13 years old, brown hair, brown eyes, trashy
  • Traits: He lies, cheats, steals and supports other characters. Overall, he is a good character that just wants to be free.
  • Relationship to other characters: He is the Widow Douglas's adopted son and Jim and Tom's friend. 
  • Huckleberry Finn
  • Background: He grew up with a rough life, they had no money. He has always been an outcast and he would rather live on his own. 
  • Relationship to other characters: Huck's friend 
  • Background: Jim was an African slave that worked for Miss Watson, but then he ran away because he was scared of being sold.
  • Physical Appearance: Tall and old
  • Traits: He is highly superstitious and is a liar, but above all, he is intelligent. He is also selfless. 
  • Jim 
  • Background: He is an alcoholic and he doesn't treat his son well. 
  • Traits: He abuses his son a lot. Rude. 
  • Physical Appearance: old
  • Pap Finn
  • Relationship to other characters: Huck's father. 
  • "They all asked me questions, and I told them how pap and me and all the family was living on a little farm down at the bottom of Arkansaw, and my sister Mary Ann run off and got married and never was heard of no more." (pg. 102) 
  • Widow Douglass
  • Physical Appearance: old 
  • Afterwards Jim said the witches bewitched him and put him in a trance, and rode him all over the State, and then set him under the trees again, and hung his hat on a limb to show who done it."        (pg. 6) 
  • Tom Sawyer
  • Physical Appearance: same age as Huck, young
  • Physical Appearance: wears glasses, slim, old maid 
  • “Every little while he locked me in and went down to the store, threemiles, to the ferry, and traded fish and game for whisky, and fetched it home and got drunk and had a good time, and licked me.” (pg. 26)
  • Miss Watson
  • Relationship to other characters: Adoptive mother of Huck 
  • Background: She helps take care of Huck when his Pap is not there. She is also really attached to Huck because to her he is her son that she never had. 
  • Traits: Hypocritical, religious, ethical
  • “The Widow Douglas she took me for her son, and allowed she would sivilize me." (pg. 2)
  • Traits: Stubborn, Intelligent
  • Background: Raised in a civilized home
  • "Now, we'll start this band of robbers and call it Tom Sawyer's Gang. Everybody that wants to join has got to take an oath, and write his name in blood." (pg. 17)
  • Relationship to other characters: Huck's best friend
  • Traits: Bossy, Religious
  • Relationship to other characters: Widow Douglas's sister. She tries to civilize Huck through manners and religion. 
  • Background: Miss Watson is a very strong God-fearing woman. 
  • “Don’t put your feet up there, Huckleberry… Don’t scrunch up like that, Huckleberry- set up straight." (pg.12)
