The Renaissance was a time of change for Europe. It is usually characterized as a time of rebirth. It was a very big time for art and literature. Art during this time had an extreme improvement in realism.
The Age Of Exploration allowed many countries gain more land, power, and resources. France, Britain, and Spain were the ones with the most amount of power during this period. Some of the main motivations from each country were the three G's, Gold, God, and Glory.
The Protestant Reformation was started when martin Luther went against the Church and its corruption. He believed people should be able to interpret the bible for themselves without having to pay indulgences, so he created the printing press. He put his 95 theses on the Church's Door.
The Scientific Revolution was a period of time where there were numerous advancements in science and math, people were further questioning old truths and proving whether or not they were tru and figuring out how things worked.
The Enlightenment was a time where many philosophers and those in the government were wondering how things should be run, and what rights humans had. The Government for some protects our natural rights, while for others it protected humans from their own selfishness. These ideas came from John Locke and Thomas Hobbes respectively.
