The narrator begins the story by telling the reading that he is going to die tomorrow. This type of suspension is called Foreshadowing because he gives the reader an indication of a future event.
One night when the narrator came back home drank he noticed that the cat avoided him so he grabbed him, at the same time the cat bit him on the hand. He became so angry that he stabbed the poor animal in the throat and cut one of his eyes out.
Soon after that he killed the cat because he wanted to break the rules
