Storyboard Text

  • This visual diagram will show you!
  • How do they change between each other? How do they get from phase to phase?
  • Sublimation
  • Deposition
  • Freezing
  • Condensation
  • Melting
  • Vaporization
  • Does heat effect this? And can I change animals? I have too many legs.
  • But on the topic of your first question about heat..
  • Yes it does, and.... sure you can change animals. Why not?
  • Heat energy, or thermal energy, is transferred to other objects in 3 different ways. Convection, which is when the circular motion that happens with warm air or liquids, which has faster moving molecules, making it a bit less dense, rises in heat, while the cooler air of temperature drops. Conduction, which is when a hot substance touches a not-so-hot substance, warmer that up so t becomes hotter. Like hands hovering over a fire.  And last but not least, Radiation. That happens when the heat waves from a hot object travels to the less hot object. I like to think of the Sun's heat rays travelling to the Earth.
  • Wait, but what about the pepperoni pizza?
  • Now you know the states of matter, how they chnage between each other, and how thermal energy works!
  • Shoot! I'll eat this any way though. Wait, who's this guy? Aw, shoot!
  • Unfortunately, pepperoni pizza is NOT vegan. Sorry everybody.
  • That's the end everybody!
