  • Who is involved in direct democracy?  Who is involved in representative democracy?
  • In a direct democracy the people are involved they get the rights to vote or any laws or policies. A representative democracy involves the people electing representatives who are empowered to create laws and policies for them.
  • What is the difference between direct democracy and representative democracy?
  • When you are in a direct democracy you get to vote on all the policies and laws but in a representative democracy you elect people to chose your laws and policies for the people.
  • The direct democracy began in 508 BC and the representative democracy began around 508 BCE
  • When did direct democracy begin?  When did representative democracy begin?
  • Where did direct democracy begin?  Where is representative democracy used today?
  • The Greek city-state of Athens established the first direct democracy. Countries like Canada, The United States of America, and United Kingdom all use representative democracy today.
  • Why did direct democracy happen?  Why is it best for representative democracy to be used today?
  • do believe direct democracy happened to state that it is a “free country” and to give everyone a right and a say as to what happens in there life. Representative democracy is best to use today because the person making the decisions is to make the right decisions for everyone and in a direct a individual voter will put their wants or their “needs” before everyone elses and not even think twice on how it might affect someone else and their families.
