  • Grendel's Story By: Kendahl Urschler
  • There was once youngin named Grendel. His mother couldn't handle raising him yet, so she figured it was okay to leave him in an underwater cave. Therefore, Grendel lay safe in the cave, free of all worries.

  • As Grendel got older, he came to realize he had nobody to interact with. Nobody was around him, and he was very lonely. He knew of nothing outside of his cave.
  • 2
  • In this case, Grendel, for the first time, came out of his cave to see what it was like. He loved everything about it, except for a loud sound. This was making his ears ring because it was one of the first sounds he has heard, and it was horrible.
  • 3
  • Grendel searched for the horrible noise he heard and realized where it was coming from. It was some type of party with a lot of people attending. This made Grendel hate all people who partied in this hall because he couldn't stand the noise they were making.
  • 4
  • Grendel knew there had to be a way to stop this noise. So, he came up with a plan to attack the people in the hall. He figured if there were no more people, then there would be no more noise
