Bots vs Monsters

Storyboard Text

  • A robot’s battery is their whole torso locked with a rubber cage of insulation. Their cage of insulation would prevent any electricity from getting out while also having strong but bouncy properties. Right in the back of any robot will be a thin hole for recharging their battery when it is pitch-black, cold, and worst of all, dangerous to go outside.
  • Once upon a time, there lived an archaic land called the Surface. Long ago, ancient bot-kind kept evolving on the Surface of their beautiful world. They forged magnificent structures of peace and prosperity, something you might find in Fantasy books. They kept innovating and creating until their world was full. Their world was extremely polluted and full of their useless waste. They did not know they would produce this much waste, they did not initiate measures and protocols to recycle and reuse. The heavy production of waste smothered their electric vision with smog so they could not see well. All was not well on the Surface; everything was falling apart, their government, habitats, culture and traditions, and most of all, their electric power.
  • To make matters worse, robot-kind was soon enveloped in a constant struggle against an organic, hostile, and genocidal species known as the Lurkers. No one knew how the Lurkers came to be, nobody cared. All anyone ever wants to do in their life back then was to survive the apocalypse.
  • Some say the Lurkers came from the Moon but that is only a rumor.
  • It was brain against brawn, brute force against mental force, the ultimate showdown of natural selection. The successful species could continue living on and the loser will be forgotten from existence. Unfortunately, for robots, it was a losing war. The Lurker’s numbers and brute force combined had overwhelmed the exterior defenses; it was only a matter of time before the Lurkers reached the main populated city called Archaica.
  • Since the bots were extremely resilient to external damage, they easily defended themselves using their innovative weapons and defenses. For defenses they used energy barriers that only allowed inorganic material to move through, for offense they used special non-fatal stun weapons called Voltrons that still taught it’s victims a lesson to not come back. They still attacked the Lurkers despite them programmed to act friendly. In their programming it stated they cannot harm humans, not that they cannot harm creatures that display a threat. They did this to warn the Lurkers and to prevent future conflicts with them.
