I will first talk about my overall experience with the CAS, specifically in Services and Creativities, and I will state that challenge and skill means the most to me. I believe I learned the value of being consistent and active through my experience. Afterward, I will talk about the detail through my experience.
I am continuing to do the prefect role in the dorm, and I will talk about what prefect means to me and discuss my duties in the dorm. My favorite project was Tanzania experience and my least favorite was various trash pick up activities. And I will talk about the reasons
I believe I've grown a lot since I started my CAS: physically and mentally. And I will talk about the details combined with my experience. Through my experience, I found myself really into cooking and I planned to learn cooking over the summer.
By reflecting on my experience, I learned my weakness through my mistakes in my experiences. I thought I was not capable of doing a lot of things, however, it turns out that I was able to do a lot of stuff. I was supported by a lot of friends and if I would like to change one thing about my experience, I would not procrastinate.
I would say if u want to take IB, do not ever procrastinate on your work. IB is a program that is recognized all over the world unlike AP. It requires you to accompish 3 SL classes and 3 HL classes, Theory of Knowledge, CAS, and one Extended Essay. I learned a lot through my classes and I mastered the skill of critical thinking through TOK.
For me, I take 4 HLs: Math HL, Physics HL, Econ HL, Glopo HL and 2 SLs: English lan&lit and Chinese. It might sound like suicide but it's actually manageable. It does impact college application and it kinda boost your chance to get into college, however, it seems like it was not working well for me. So I got into 4 UC schools, Irvine, Davis, Santabarbara and San Diego. However, I was either waitlisted or rejected by the east coast schools.
