- Kyle, can you withdraw at the ATM machine? We don't have enough cash for shopping.
- But ate I don't know anything about ATM machines. Can you tell me the process on how to withdraw in an ATM machine?
- Okay since you are good in math, I am going to teach you the process using the concepts of function.
- Lets' go!
- The Function (f) is the ATM, that applies a rule, in this case “The cash dispensed should equal the amount requested”, in other words “The output should equal the input”
- OHHHH, I see!
- The Input (x) is the requested amount that you type into the ATM.

- The Output (y) is the cash dispensed after the function has run.
- Now, let's go find an ATM machine to withdraw so we can go back shopping
