  • Before Odysseus can go home he has to go back to Circe's island to get Elpenor's body buried.
  • When he had finished, I replied, "Poor Elpenor, I promise to do all this for you (homer 67).
  • The conversation between Odysseus and Tiresias, is if the gods are letting him get home quickly.
  • "Ah well, Tiresias,' I replied, "if the gods will have it so, I have nothing to say (homer 68).
  • Odysseus is woried about his wife and about his life.
  • "Your wife," replied my mother, has stayed faithful in your palace (homer 69).
  • Agamemnon's wife killed her husband so never trust women.
  • "I raised my hands in a last attempt to reach her sword (homer 71).
  • Achilles is the most blessed of all men that lived to the gods.
  • But you, Achilles, are the most blessed of all the men (homer 73).
  • Odysseus saw some more of the desentets of the gods.
  • Then I saw minos son of zues himself. (homer 75).
