Storyboard Text

  • Are you God? Why do you want me to go to the war?
  • Joan lived in a religious time. When Joan was 13, she started hearing the voice of God. The voices Joan heard let her help Charles. In 1425 Joan of Arc, the daughter of Northern French.
  • When Joan's voice began, France was in chaos. tensions within the borders were also high. France itself was deeply divided. Those loyal to Charles controlled the Southern half of the country. 
  • I see the other guys up ahead.
  • Joan's first challenge on the way was to free the city. In spring, Joan guided Charles troops towards Orleans.  The French solders attacked. They were on the verge of defeat when Joan suddenly galloped into the battle.

  • Armies are tired of fighting Joan's army. The French were forced to retreat. Joan launched a surprise attack. Charles made no effort to rescue or ransom the women. 
  • I'm glad Joan didn't die. 
  • Joan was on trial for witchcraft and for heresy. The court made 70 accusation against Joan. A huge crowd gathered in Rowen because of Joan on trial. Joan's family requested that the Pope reopen her case. 
  • After Joan died she inspired her country. Joan was reconized as a Catholic Saint. Her life shows faith. Someone from ordanary beginnings can make history. 
  • I can't believe I'm going to heaven.
