Storyboard Text

  • I decided one day that enough was enough. I took the cat to my garden and hung it from a high branch. I felt guilty, but it was too late. The deed had already been done.
  • A couple days after that, I awoke to my house on fire. After we had all exited safely and the fire was out, we were examining the rubble when we saw it; A huge, black cat imprint burned in the wall right over my bed. After thinking about it for awhile, I determined that somebody must've taken the cat down from the tree and thrown it into my room to get me to wake up. That was the only reasonable explanation I could come up with.
  • The following weeks after the fire, my uneasiness only grew worse. In attempt to lay my guilt to rest, I decided to get a new cat that closely resembled Pluto. But alas, I grew to hate that one even more than the original.
  • Eventually, my hatred got the best of me. I took a sharpened axe and aimed for the poor feline, but as soon as I started to release, I felt my hand get caught. My wife, who grew to love the cat, was standing there with a horrified look on her face. In a fit of rage, I buried the axe deep in her skull, killing her in an instant.
  • My brain scoured all the ways I could hide the body. Eventually, I decided to knock down the wall of my basement, place her body in there, and rebuild it. When my work was done, I was immensely pleased. You couldn't even tell that it had been taken down. Even better, the cat, who I was still determined to kill, had seemingly disappeared. I slept amazingly that night, as all my burdens had been put to rest. The next day, the police showed up to search my house. I was incredibly confident in my handiwork, and I showed them around to the basement.
  • They searched around the basement again, and I informed them that this house was very well-built and they had nothing to worry about. To confirm my statement, I rapped on the very wall where the corpse stood with my cane. Suddenly, a piercing screech filled the air, coming from behind the false wall. The cops stopped in their tracks, then all at once, they fled to the wall and tore it down, revealing the ghastly corpse of my wife, and the horrifying black cat perched on top of her head. They arrested me on the spot.
