  • Hey Mom! Can you hand me the TV remote please.
  • Sure Honey! Of course I will, anything for you. I feel so bad
  • Cat and Dog :(is to) Lion:
  • Uhh... Um... I, I, I. Maybe, I give up!
  • It is alright Honey! You are doing great! Those questions are a little hard for you. Maybe next time!
  • Sure! Anything for you! You can ask me anytime for help!
  • Alright! It has been a good start to the day! But, do you guys mind if you help me with my backpack.
  • Alright! I am ready for the school day! Although do you mind helping me carry stuff?
  • This is Melody. She is 11 years old. She was born paralyzed. The most can do is move her stiff arms and her legs a tiny bit, or mash the buttons on TV remote. Although, she can not do much, she is excellent at memorizing things. She was born with a photographic memory.
  • I love spending time with you! It makes my day less boring! I can let my creativity shine through by making and helping you turn flowers into a "WOW" statement at your house!
  • Aww... so cute! I love spending time with you to! I have so much fun and it gets all the worries out of your head!
  • Melody I am having a baby soon!!!
  • Melody is at a doctors appointment for a checkup, to see what she has learned and how her brain is working due to her being paralyzed. The real thing is Melody knows the answer she just can not put it in words. She is a super smart kid, but has some struggles with her brain not processing correctly.
  • Really?!!! That is awesome! I will finally have someone in the house that will actually entertain me for the day!!
  • And... it is a girl!! We are going to name her Penny!
  • Melody attends a school called Spaulding Street Elementary School. This school is filled with regular kids and is a public school. Melody rides the bus every day to school so she gets on a "special needs" bus and goes to school every day! When the bus arrives at school she gets in her wheelchair goes down the ramp with assistance and heads to class!
  • I can not take this fighting much more longer about the baby. I know times have been tough for you , but you just have to persevere through it.
  • I know I am sorry. For now lets just focus on the baby and Melody. I will be more careful and be more responsible!
  • Melody has a great bond with her next door neighbor Mrs.Valencia, together they have an incredible friendship! Melody has known Mrs.Valencia ever sine Melody was picked up from the hospital. Mrs.Valencia watched Melody when Mom and Dad could not.
  • This was the day that Melody was finally happy for once and was not gloomy inside or depressed about her medical condition! Once Penny would come along, life would be great for Melody. Except their was one issue, Mom and Dads fighting about the baby.
  • Melody had been worried that her parents were never going to make up and stop fighting! But, that day changed everything going through Melody's mind! For once she could be a normal child, be entertained and somewhat tell her feelings and answers to someone!
