Hey kids! I'm farmer Albert. Today I'll be showing you around my farm, how my farm compares to other countries, and how U.S. farms have evolved.
Long ago people would hunt and gather because they had to no way to farm using seeds. They had to hunt animals to eat. This was their only way of survival.
This was soon changed because of the FIRST AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION. This allowed them to grow seed crops. They no longer had to rely on only hunting for animals.
Improvements were soon made. This was done during the SECOND AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION. New inventions and technologies were introduced, which started MECHANIZED FARMING. This was done because of the Industrial Revolution.
After this the THIRD AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION ( aka the GREEN REVOLUTION) began. This is when PESTICIDES, HERBICIDES, and FERTILIZERS were introduced to make better crops. At this time GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS were made to have better agricultural offsprings.
And that kids is how we have gotten to the use of LUXURY CROPS (like this coffee), so we can sell them. This is called COMMERCIAL AGRICULTURE. Any questions?
Yeah. How do we differ from less developed countries and their agriculture?
