The Whiskey Rebellion was only one situation faced by the new government. Native Americans aided by the British and Spanish, were ignoring the American settlers' journey westward. I did not want the United States getting involved with foreign conflicts.
This Whiskey Rebellion
As I was growing concern about growing resistance of western Pennsylvania farmers, then their protest turned violent in July 1794. A mob that was armed attacked tax collectors and burned down buildings. This was known later as, the Whiskey Rebellion.
The Whiskey Rebellion is known as the violent protest that happened in western Pennsylvania when farmers where growing resistance to the tax on whiskey. (July 1974)
