Romulus and Remus were twin brothers, sons of Mars, the God of War and Rhea Silvia, daughter of the King. They were thrown in the river by their evil uncle Amulius, who took the throne for himself.
However, they were rescued by a she-wolf who fed and cared for them.
They were found by a kindly shepherd named Faustulus, who looked after them until they were grown up.
Now I am the king of Rome!
After finding out their true identities, Romulus and Remus killed their evil uncle so their grandfather could regain his throne
Romulus and Remus decided to build a city but could not agree on where to build it, or what its name should be. They held a competition - the winner could decide the position and name of the city - Romulus won.
Romulus killed his brother Remus, because Remus made fun of Romulus' city. This meant that Romulus was now the first ever king of Rome.
