Hi! I'm Glucose and I go to Mitochondria High School in Cytoplasm Valley!
we call ourselves Glycolysis, and we're bulluies.
We're going to break you down Glucose!
The pyruvic acid created when Glycolysis breaks me down will help me to workout so that I can defend myself next time they try to bully me! This process is called the Kreb's Cycle.
When I workout, my body breathes in more oxygen and breaths out more carbon dioxide. I am able to work out because of ATP synthase which is an important enzyme that creates ATP which will be carried in NADH and ADP until I use it.
NADH is the reduced form of NAD but NAD+ is the oxidated form. It has an oxidative role in glycolysis because it accepts electron and hydrogen ions.
Glycolysis, if you try breaking me down again I'll use ADP which will transfer the energy, used in the electron transport chain, and formed by the removal of phosphate, for me to fight back!
Okay! Okay! We'll stop!
