In the middle ages, there were many social roles and you had many different responsibilities that were determined by your status. Kings and Queens being at the top of the social hierarchy, followed by lords, nobles, knights, and at the end, serfs.
Welcome to life in the Middle Ages.
Knight's responsibilities consist of protecting and fighting on behalf of the lord and coming to their service when called upon. Knights also believed their purpose was to fear God and maintain his church.
I am a knight.
Most knights led fairly comfortable lives. They were given the resources and supplies in order to perform their jobs, and given a nice place to live. A knight was granted his title by a monarch, making becoming a knight a difficult task. In order to become a knight, you’d also have to be the son of a noble, have exceptional combat skills, and also abide by the code of chivalry.
