Liz's friend organises weekly school counselling for her. This help Liz cope with what she's going through at home
On the next weekend, Liz's friends take her shopping and buy her some new clothes and shoes. Others pitch in too, all trying to help someone in need.
As others continue to support Liz with food and outings, she forms new friendships and becomes increasingly popular.
For the time being, Liz's friends have reduced the financial burden on her mother which has made moving out easier. Whilst everything is not perfect at home, Liz feels safe and happy at school with all of her friends.
