  • Frederick Douglass is a slave like every other slave there was except that he was smart on his feet and knew how to handle different situations. he works and lives on a plantation in Maryland
  • Climax
  • Douglass does not like how slavery is going on and how people are whipped and abused by slavery.
  • Falling action
  • Douglass moves to Baltimore and learns how to read by his masters wife but the master figures out what happened so Douglass had to learn by giving the white boys bread and them teaching him to read
  • Resolution
  • Douglass fights his overseer and wins then his overseer does not want to mess with Douglass again
  • Nobody knows how Douglass escaped but this cold be one way
  • Douglass moves to New York and is very lonely but free
