Storyboard Text

  • Orpheus was happy in Parnassus, singing and playing. He met his wife Eurydice and they lived peacefully together.
  • One day Eurydice left their little house and was attacked by a young king named Aristeus. As she ran to try to escape, she accidentally stepped on a nest of sleeping snakes. She was bit by so many snakes she died.
  • Orpheus found his wife dead in the forest and ventured out to get her back down in the underworld.
  • After making it down to the underworld he had to get past obstacles such as the ferryman and Cerberus. He was able to sway them with his music.
  • Orpheus goes and sings a song to the angry Hades and his wife Persephone. The song moves Persephone to tears and that is enough for Hades to release his wife.
  • There is one downfall to Hades deal, Orpheus must never look back to see his wife or else she is gone forever.
