I could go off my morals and mindset to make my decision. With good morals and a healthy mindset I will help stop the situation.
But the people around here (including my friend and her boyfriend) and the environment doesn't help this situation. The social aspect is pressuring if I want to stop him.
Hey, man, what's your deal?! Leave her alone, she doesn't want to hit your vape.
DECIDE AND TAKE ACTION!
I went with OPTION TWO. By calling out my friend's boyfriend and telling him to stop pressuring her, I am able to interrupt the tense situation and protect my friend from any unwanted harm. If vaping is regarded as normal/cool at the party, then it may cost my social reputation. But protecting my friend from harm ultimately outweighs anything else.
Was it a good decision?
This was a good decision. Even if my friend had just one hit, it could lead her to becoming addicted to e-cigarettes and eventually regular cigarettes. E-cigarettes like JUUL are harmful to teenagers and their developing bodies and minds. This decision has saved my friend from a path of lung diseases and harmful addictions.
