Why does he insist on wearing his sisters clothes?
"The good fairy"
Someday the good fairy will turn my penis into a vagina!
Jazz Jennings, (originally named Jaron), was born as a male. His parents named him Jaron because they needed to compromise ona name for him, so they mixed the names Jordon and Aaron.
I want to play with the girls too!!!
From the time Jaron could communicate with others and make his own decisions, he started to resemble someone of a more feminine nature. His parents did not think anything of this because he was just a child and he did not know any better.
From now on, call me Jazz!
Good for you Jazz!
When jaron really started realizing he was meant to be a girl, he would tell people about "the good fairy" who would someday turn his penis into a vagina and he could finally be a female. He was also caught on multiple occasions drawing pictures of women with large breasts and drawings of female genitals.
Backlash and her current state
No thanks, im good... uh, gotta go
As Jaron ( who was now starting to be known as jazz) started to get older, she was becoming interested in soccer. However, when she tried out for a girls soccer team, she was denied because on her birth certificate, it says that jazz is a male. After this, her family faught very hard for her to play on the girls soccer team, but sadly no success.
Jazz was finally old enough to come out to her friends and family. All of them cared very much about her ad continued to treat her with the same amount of respect they had before. It did take a long while to get used to calling Jaron a she though. Sometimes her family would accidentally use the wrong pronoun, but jazz understood that they were still getting used to it.
With coming out to friends and family, she later came out to the whole world, and she actually received very much backlash and hatred for it. People began calling her house phone, giving death threats, calling her nasty names, and more. Thankfully though, Jazz also understands that the world cant transition with her and some people aren't going to agree all the time.
