This is the clergy. They lived in chateaux and palaces. They also collected tithes, tax, from the peasants.
This is the nobles. They had complete control over the peasants and did not have to do military service. They also did not have to pay taxes and collected tolls from people using roads and markets.
This is the Peasants and they made up 90% of the population. They are seperated into 3 different groups. The Bourgeoisie, the Peasants, and the Urban Poor. This was the poorest group, but they had to pay the taxes to their king, their lord, and the church. They were forced to pay for everything they used, such as mills, the oven, and the wine press. They were forced to do military service and they could not hunt or fish on the noble's estate.
