  • What did John Dalton discover?
  • Remember? Dalton was the first scientist to discover atoms. He predicted that atoms were in the shape of billiard balls. He also theorized that atoms are the smallest things in the universe.
  • What did J.J Thomson do?
  • J.J Thomson used a cathode ray to prove the existence of electrons, which are smaller then atoms, therefore, if electrons are smaller then atoms Dalton was wrong.
  • What aboutErnest Rutherford
  • Rutherford produced an experiment to show that there is a positive mass at the center. He discover the nucleus which contained both protons and neutrons.
  • Niels Bohr?
  • Okay, thanks for the help.
  • Simply put, Bohr discovered valence levels. He stated that there are 2 electrons in the first level, 8 in the second and third levels, and 18 in the fourth level
