Breaking: In a shocking turn of events, Mr. Greedypants has been formally impeached by the House of Representatives this week. Can you believe it, Tyler?
Wow! Who could've predicted that one?
And just how is a president impeached, you ask, dear listener?
Well, Ariana and I would be glad to fill you in!
The Constitution, written by our Founding Fathers, includes the process of a presidential impeachment, or formal accusation against the president.
This is President Greedypants, recently impeached on a count of bribery. Although he seems pretty guilty, it was a long process to actually impeach him.
First, an Independent Council iinvestigated their suspicions of bribery and presented their findings to the House Judiciary Committee.
I. The President has accepted a bribe to unlawfully and unreasonably pardon a man who robbed a cupcake shop of all its cupcakes. For this reason, he is unfit to serve as President of the United States.
Next, the HJC reviews the evidence and drafts (and heavily debates) Articles of Impeachment.
