The Knight and the lady live next to each other and they both want to be together but if they are seen together, they will get in big trouble. In the story it states that "He loved the wife of neighbor" This means that the bachelor shows love for his neighbor's wife.
The second important scene in this story is when the bachelor and the lady start seeing each other at the window. They would send love gifts through their windows. In the story is states "they had all they wanted, at their leisure, Except coming together alone," This means that iff they were seen together, the would be in big trouble because he is with someone's wife.
The third important scene is when she lies to her husband telling him that she gets up every-night to listen to a bird sing. Instead she talks to the other knight. She lies to hime by telling him "thats why she stays up all night."
In this scene the lady's husband ends up catching the bird and telling her that she doesn't have to stay up all night because of it . This is when she notices that she wont be able to see him any more.
I this scene she throws the dead bird over to the bachelors window to let him know that they wont be able to see and possible love each other.
In this scene, the bachelor is walking around with a box and valuables and the bird because he wants to have a piece of her forever.
