I declare these two noble citizens to be executed!
In fall of 1789, many women marched on Versailles. They demanded bread and for the king and queen of France to return to their ruling country. Their march showed the change of power in France at the time.
Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
The Declaration of the Rights of Man was a passage providing freedom, equality, and security for citizens of France. Their slogan was "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity."
Rise of Napoleon
The Reign of Terror was a time where Maximilien Robespierre was at the head of power. Many radicals, people who wanted change in France, were also very powerful at the time. People who disagreed with a revolution were arrested and executed. People who supported the revolution felt it was necessary to change France, even if violence was the answer.
Fall of Napoleon
In 1793, King Louis XVI was found guilty of treason and was later executed. Marie Antoinette was also executed during the same year.
Napolean Bonaparte was a French soldier who rose through the ranks of France and eventually became emperor in 1804. He had won many battles where France was predicted to lose. Many citizens of France supported him and his reigning.
After Napoleon Bonaparte became emperor of France, he made some risky choices which ended up costing him big time. For instance, he tried invading Russia and lost many of his best troops. After losing many battles and making poor decisions, he was banished from France. Later, he returned and was supported by many citizens, but couldn't turn France around and was banished permanently to a small island.
