A storyboard to describe a product developer scenario.
While analyzing his latest Colgate consumer insight report, Roger notices a trend: people want access to their personal health data.
Roger decides to develop a prototype toothbrush with sensors that will collect data around usage and patterns, to see if consumers actually change their behavior based on the feedback they receive.
After 3 months in development, the first prototype is ready. Roger commissions a 4 week study and performs interviews with the test users.
Roger discovers that 39% of the testers changed the way they were brushing and flossing, based on the feedback from the device.
He also found that testers were willing to pay a premium price for the device and usage of the app.
Roger is really pleased with what he has found, and wants to continue with the development of the toothbrush so it will be in stores for Q1 next year.
