Storyboard Text

  • I heard bad news about my family, tell the news again, I'll listen.
  • Dear lady, i'll speak of what i saw, omitting not one detail of the truth.
  • I went to the plain accompaning your husband, Polyneices was lying there, torn apart by dogs.
  • We gave the corpse a ritual wash, and burned what was left. We piled up a high tomb.
  • Eurydice, has over heard the messenger talking about Polyneices her husband, and asks to be told the news as well. The messenger finds its challenging to tell her, but is only willing to tell her the truth.
  • Then he moves to the young girl's rocky cave, from far away one man heard a voice, coming from the chamber, piercing cry.
  • The messenger is telling Eurydice, about the encounter he had with Polyneices, where he found him laying on the ground being eaten by the dogs. He did not receive a proper burial, due to him dishonoring the community.
  • I've just heard the voice of my own son, you servants, remove the stone pile in the entrance and look to see is that's Haemon's voice.
  • In the furthest corner of the tomb, we saw Antigone hanging by the neck, held up in a noose.
  • The messenger explains they did everything with the body, to get it out of the poor position being eaten by dogs, such as giving it a ritual bath, and burning the remains of it and giving it the most proper burial they can.
  • One of the servants of Creon's can hear in the distance and loud cry coming from Antigone's rocky cave, and Creon demands to be brought to the cave, as he believes that cry he heard was his own son Haemon.
  • The servant goes to Creon and informs him of the piercing cry. Creon listens for the sound and deciphers that, that cry is his son and demands to remove the stones so he can have access to the cave, where his son could be.
  • He went to tell our master Creon, as he approached he heard the scream of sorrow.
  • When they are able to make an entrance into the cave, they immediately are able to see Haemon with the piercing cry due to the sight of Antigone hanging by a noose, and Haemon is in utter disbelief that his bride has taken her own life.
