Storyboard Text

  • In the spring, before the election year, candidates announcetheir intentions to run. After, in the primary and caucus debates take place.
  • There is a long process towards becoming President of the United States.
  • In January to June of the election year, states hold primary and caucuses. After, in early June to September, the parties hold nominating conventions to choose their candidates.
  • In September through October, Candidates participate in Presidential debates, as we saw between Trump and Hilary in the 2016 Election. After, In early November, Election Day is here.
  • The people vote for their Electors and those Electors cast their vote in for the state into the Electoral College
  • Then, in early January of next year calendar, the Congress counts the Electoral votes to see who has won.
  • After, the Congress figures out who won Inauguration Day for the new President is held in January! That is the path to Presidency.
