  • In the Elizabethan Era, women were viewed as "the weaker sex". They were expected to be housewives and could only work on domestic jobs. This shows how women have changed and have become a lot more powerful than before. LG
  • Only high-class women who were part of a royal family would have the opportunity to get an education under the circumstances for them to have a private tutor. But after studying, they couldn't have a professional job. Now, women have worked for many years to become equal with men and they still do. LG
  • In the 1500s women were voiceless. They were expected to follow men's instructions and if they didn't the would be punished and judged by the society. For example, if a woman wanted to act in a play, her husband, dad or brother wouldn't let her, and if she disobeyed she would be punished and wouldn't be valued as a human should. LG
