  • When teaching children to read, they must first be able to know the sounds and shapes of letters, the difference between letters and words, and be able to identify the sound combinations
  • Did you know that elephant and frog both have the "f" sound?
  • Yes! Elephant is spelled with "ph" and frog is spelled with an "f"!
  • Did you know that "b" and "v" have the same sound in Spanish? Sometimes it's hard for me to spell some words.
  • I did not know that!That must be really hard!
  • Did you know that "slide" rhymes with "ride"?
  • I can't wait to tell my mom I learned that the "j" sound can be spelled with the lettter "j" or "g" like "gym"!
  • Today I learned that some letters can make a lot of different sounds!
