Hey my name is Devin and I want to be a wildfire firefighter when I grow up. Can I ask you some questions about it?
Hi Devin my name is Trevor and I can most definitely answer some questions of yours while I check if this forest needs a controlled fire to get ride of some extra brush.
Okay Devin so what's your first question?
Ummmmmm, well I think my question can wait a little because there is a fire in the forest.
Here are my questions. How often do wildfires happen, how long do they take to put out,how do you control it,how do you put it out, when do they normally happen?
Oh my goodness and it is spreading fast!!!!!
While they fight the fire you can ask me some questions about it.
Here are the answers to your questions, wildfires happen about 100,000 a year, they take about 2 weeks to burn without us touching it,we control it by putting a fire line around it,to put it out we can use a hose on the ground and drop a lot of water from a airplane witch can also have dust in it to smother the fire, they normanly happen in a dry area with no water around.
