MacBeth meets with the murderer that killed Banquo inside his castle. Banquo is dead and taken care of but Fleance escaped.

No one can see Banquo's ghost except Macbeth. Lady Macbeth tries to fix the situation saying he did not get enough sleep and that this is a daily occurrence.
"How did you dare to trade and traffic with Macbeth In riddles and affairs of death?"
Why, how now, Hecate! You look angerly.
I hear MacDuff lives in disgrace. Sir, Can you tell where he bestows himself?
Lady Macbeth is mad at Macbeth and tells him to snap out of it. Macbeth points to ghost and does not think he is crazy. He had forgotten about the Nobel guests in his castle.
MacDuff is at the English court with Malcolm.
Back at the dinner table, Macbeth makes a toast to change the mood. (scene 4 line 90-95)
The three witches meet with Hecate in a deserted place. "He shall spurn fate, scorn death, and bear his hopes 'bove wisdom, grace, and fear. And you all know, security Is mortals' chiefest enemy." (scene 5 line 5-30)
Lennox is with another Lord in Scotland. MacDuff wants King Edward to help him form an alliance with the people of Northumberland and their lord, Siward. They want to free Scotland from a tyrant and bring peace back to the land. Macbeth already heard about this and has started preparing for war.
