  • But officer, I had to kill the man because my religion requires live sacrifice once a month and I have freedom of religion.

  • The First Amendment gives citizens the right to freedom of religion however one is not allowed to practice their religion if it brings harm to another citizen.

  • The Second Amendment gave citizens the right to bear arms. This amendment was granted in favor of the anti-federalists who were concerned that there was too much power in the federal government.

  • The Thirteenth Amendment is abolition of slavery which means that forced servitude is now unlawful for any person. This Amendment came to be ratified after the civil war.

  • The Twenty- Forth Amendment abolished the poll tax. This was a fee you were required to pay in order to cast your vote. However, the rich were the only ones getting to vote so they stayed wealthy while the poor stayed poor.
