Storyboard Text

  • I had a terrible day at work. It's tough working as a veterinarian, but being the manager of an office AND a veterinarian is even harder
  • What's wrong, Lanie?
  • What am I going to do?!
  • I'm so sorry, Lucy. I just have too many employees to control and pay.
  • I have experience working in an animal clinic, but ever since 2008, I have been unemployed due to my accident.
  • The 3 functions I would like to share with you are STAFFING, IMPLEMENTING, AND PLANNING.
  • You can, Joe. Don't be afraid of the past. You'll be fine.
  • I can't handle that dog today after what happened last time.
  • STAFFING: Since I own my own Animal Clinic, I control who works for and with me. Sometimes, I have to fire people and it is always the worst part of my day.
  • I frequently have to interview people that applied for a job at my clinic. I have the final decision on if they are qualified to work for me.
  • IMPLEMENTING: I encourage and push my employees to be their better selves and try to reach their goals.
  • PLANNING: I get stressed a lot due to my aggressive planning of events. My clinic is hosting a party next month and I am trying to figure out how to pay all of the costs for the party.
  • But at the end of the day, being a manager and working at my clinic is so worth it because I get to provide for my beautiful family.
