  • Jefferson and Alexander were on opposites sides.  They did not agree on many things.  Democracy was one of them.  Hamilton believed democracy was a poison as opposed to T. J. who that all free and property owners should have a say in government.

  • Washington set the precedents for other presidents to follow.  Washington put down the Whiskey Rebellion, before it escalated to a bigger thing.  The violence of the French Revolution led Washington to issue the Proclamation of Neutrality.
  • In his Farewell Address, Washington advices the nation against political parties, foreign policies, incurring debts, and to address the importance of the North and South's relationships as well maintaining moral virtue.
