We did one house visit to one elderly woman who was bedridden after suffering a stroke
One girl who we met had epilepsy and had fallen fires due to the seizures. Because of this she had severe burns all over her body
Mass every day was so beautiful. The Haitians were very talented at singing and filled the whole chapel with their voices.
Leaving Haiti was extremely difficult and since then I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to serving others
Learning about the terrible things that had happened to these children was almost unbearable. The shocking part was that they were even happier then the people I see every day
After returning from Haiti I have learned to be much more appreciative of what I have. Many of the children do not have basic necessities and they remain very joyful so it is important for everyone to keep the same mindset.
