  • The Old Lady Who Named Things An old lady outlived all her friends so she names objects she will never outlive like her car, chair, house and bed. Setting: The old lady's house, Dog catcher Characters: The old lady, The dog, Dog catcher
  • Climax
  • A dog comes to her gate the old lady feeds it and tells it to go home. She does not want to outlive the dog but dog comes back everyday.
  • Falling action
  • 1) It's been one year of the lady feeding the puppy. 2) The puppy gets much bigger and becomes a dog. 3) One day the dog does not come to her door to be fed it does not come the next day either or the next this makes the old lady very sad.
  • Reasolution
  • The old lady goes to the dog catcher to find the unnamed dog. When she goes to the dog catcher the man asks her what the dogs name is. The lady thinks about how lucky she was to know all the people she out lived and tells the man her dogs name is Lucky
  • The old lady takes Lucky home and shows him all the things that she named over the years
  • At the end of the day the old lady and Lucky go to sleep in the old lady's bed Roxanne.
