  • Scene 1 (continued)
  • Scene 1 (continued)
  • Description: Title of project  Script: (uncopyrighted music)
  • Scene 2
  •  Description: Time lapse of the concourse on a busy day  Script: (Narrator) - Currently, the Earth is facing high levels of GHG emissions that  continue to destroy the atmosphere. These emissions stem from human decisions that include: fossil fuel burning, deforestation and overuse of natural resources. From a local view, high GHG emissions can be traced to large universities such as Laurier, that run off of fossil fuel energy sources to support their students and staff on campus.
  • Scene 2 (continued)
  •  Description: transition shot of Laurier building that addresses how we plan to reduce GHG emissions at Laurier and segway into interview scenes Script:  (Narrator): Laurier is currently home to over 10,000 students which means that it takes a whole lot of power to support our busy student body. So let's take a closer look at exactly how we consume all of this energy and what it does to our well-being.
  • Scene 2 (continued)
  • Description: this scene will show an interview with a Laurier student about their sustainable actions on campus  Script: Interview Questions: Are you able to list any unsustainable decisions you find yourself making through your day? Do you believe there are greater outcomes to your decisions? Potential responses: “ I find myself forgetting to turn my lights on when I go out” “I haven’t really considered the further impact of leaving my lights on, but it would probably contribute to pollution”
  •  Description: character playing the interviewee leaves room with lights and sets up a segway to show the ripple effect of this action   Script:  (Narrator) "By (insert name) leaving the lights on, this not only increases Laurier's energy consumption, but it has further impacts on (insert name) communities that eventually will lead back to his life."
  •  Description: shot of rising water levels and shot of sun shining on water to convey message of increasing water temperatures  Script:  (Narrator) "as a result of the carbon emissions from leaving lights on, this contributed the rising water temperatures and levels that pose the threat of flooding cities."
