Storyboard Text

  • While working on handwriting, I look over Tristan's shoulder to see how he's doing. He's working on cursive letters with circular shapes, like a and o.
  • "Tristan this is really good work. I can see you're really concentrating. These ones here are excellent letters. These ones are a little outside the lines. Try to stay inside the lines. Keep going though because your letters are getting better."
  • I make a point to come over before the end of the activity and check on his work again. "Tristan, you kept working this whole time! Good job! Your letters look great. I can see that you kept trying on every single one."
  • While sitting with a group of students, playing a card game, I watch to see which students are following the rules, helping their classmates stay on task, and remembering their turns.
  • "Anais, good job paying attention and making sure everyone remembers their turn. Joachim, nice job following the rules to take an extra card."
  • At the end of the game, I congratulate the whole group on managing the follow the rules and finish the game.
