Hi! My name is Mike. And today I will show you all how iron extraction works.
First off, what is a metal ore? Ores are naturally occurring rocks that contain metal or metal compounds in sufficient amounts to make it worthwhile extracting them.
Iron comes from Iron Ore, such as haematite. Haematite contains an ionic compound called iron(III) oxide. Since iron (III) oxide has both oxygen and iron, oxygen must be removed in order to get the iron.
